Saajan fails to impress the audience with his editing. Music by Rahul Raj is pleasing, and Sunoj Velayudhan has done a pretty good job in cinematography department. The way he expresses his frustration after the police neglects his appeal to find his daughter is remarkable. Narendan Achari appears on the screen for a short time but still creates his place in the movie.

Star performances: Mammootty has been the star of the movie and stole the show. The movie though has received a positive response from the audience and Deepu is critically acclaimed for making Tollywood's first movie based on firemen. It has average background score, and the story goes off balance sometimes. However, Mammootty has done a convincing job, and his character has been portrayed as a typical Tollywood hero. The direction of the movie is average and has many loop ends.
